I was delighted to get a chance to acquire this token. Often, these are worn or excavated and the die-work isn't as crisp as you might like. This one has it all, though. Beautiful, non-dug definition - the letters and the patriotic motif are all there, as is the 1863 date.

Patriotic tokens are a wonderful thing to collect if you're on a budget, but would like to acquire genuine pieces of American Civil War history.
