Nim's Battery (2nd Massachusetts Artillery) was active in the Red River Campaign and saw some heavy fighting at Sabine Crossroads, La. The regiment also played a part in the surrender of Fort Blakely, Alabama on the same day General Lee surrendered at Appomattox.
If you collect patriotic covers, regimental imprints, Massachusetts history or artillery-related items, you have a wonderful chance to add a fine piece to your collection.
