This little beauty is a definite must-have for the collector of excavated Civil War buttons. It is in perfect dug condition, with a straight shank, lots of gilt in all the right places, a Hyde & Goodrich backmark and just the tiniest "push" on the back of the button - it's barely noticeable and does not detract. The button has not been repaired or messed with in any way. There are no cracks, pinholes, or problems of any kind.

The button was metal-detected on private property in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee...a site that has yielded tons of great Confederate and Union relics over the years.
