Probably manufactured by Bellenot or Rouyer of New Orleans, these "local" buttons are among the most desireable and coveted of Southern buttons. This is the LA-8 in Albert's guide and in the LA-249 series in Warren Tice's book. The button is 23 mm and the shank, though thin, is solid. That, in itself, is quite a rarity because usually the shanks were very weak on these. Some gilting remains and there is only minimal to moderate wear on this fantastic non-excavated button.

If I collected non-dug buttons, I would never been selling this. I think it's one of the prettiest I have seen. In this instance, the price is firm. I am already below what other dealers are asking for this button when they have it in stock.

IF YOU WANT TO ORDER AN ITEM…

(or just ask a question about it) please email me directly at cwartifax@gmail.com

Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always.  I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly.  Again, my email address is cwartifax@gmail.com

Thanks!
