Liberty Loans were issued to finance the Allied war effort in World War One. Here we have a grouping of seven pins that were given to Americans who purchased Liberty Loans or got involved in selling them as part of the war effort. They are in very nice condition and all retain their attachment pins. Some wear is evident but nothing that would detract from a lovely display. The price is for all seven pins, not just one.

Liberty Loans were promoted by no less than Douglas Fairbanks, Senior, Al Jolson and "America's Sweetheart", Mary Pickford. Two of the bonds were sold in 1917 and two were issued in 1918. A fifth was sold after the Armistice but it was more accurately called a Victory Loan.

This little grouping would make a fantastic display with a picture of a doughboy, a sailor, a biplane and perhaps one of those famous photos of an early silent film star at a Liberty rally. I love displays that tell part of the story of America's history and these pins could certainly be an effective part of that!
