She's a real beauty! This excavated button sports 95% gilt. It's solid, well-constructed and has a straight shank. There are no pinholes, cracks, pushes or repairs. The backmark is almost entirely illegible but under a lighted, 2x magnifying glass, I make out a "C" and an "H". This would obviously be "Hyde & Goodrich". Under the same glass, I note there are even traces of gilt on the shank! I'm sorry I don't have any information about where this button was recovered.

This button would attract lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" from your fellow collectors! Don't regret coming back here in a few days to find this gem "sold". (Which I have done far too many times on other web sites! )
