Four pieces in good, carved condition. All were dug at various camps around Falmouth and Fredericksburg, Virginia. One of these appears to have been a picket-style bullet, though we can't be 100% certain. You get the idea with each of these little curiosities that the soldier(s) doing the carving had specific uses in mind. The roundball was probably in the process of being formed into a nipple-protector. The one that looks like it was a Picket bullet almost seems to be an attempt at being a nipple in it's own right, though that hardly seems wise. wink

One bullet looks like it was being turned into a chess piece or perhaps a charm of some sort. And the other is too small to have been an attempt at a ring. Perhaps it, too, was intended as a game piece or maybe a fishing sinker.

Carved lead is lots of fun to collect and here you have a variety to add to your display.
