This lot includes one HUGE civilian flat button with a partial shank, two pewter buttons with four holes, a tiny flower button with shank but no gilt and two button backs. Condition is as-seen in photos.

All of these were recovered on private property in the vicinity of South Mountain, Md.

This is a grouping that might be helpful to you if you're looking for some miscellaneous, nondescript buttons to fill displays or to complete gift sets. Any of these buttons could be Confederate-used, Union-used or Civilian-used. I am pretty confident the large one dates to the early part of the 19th century.

Price is for the entire group.
