While a fairly common shell, the condition of this Parrott is quite uncommon. The projectile has a wonderfully smooth patina for a dug relic - almost no pitting. The zinc fuse adapter and iron sabot remain intact. The shell has been rendered inert and is safe to ship and for you to own.
I have no information about where this was recovered except that it came from a Civil War site in Virginia. This one would be hard to upgrade.
