Cute little non-dug cuff button for a federal sailor or naval officer. It has a D. Evans backmark -- these were made before, during and after the war and are perfectly appropriate in a Civil War collection. Shank is straight-up and there's a fantastic amount of original gilting on this gem. Best of all, she's not priced to break the bank. (In fact, a little button like this could probably be shipped First Class for about a buck.)

 

 

I know the button looks a little off-center in the picture but we had a hard time snapping the pic. It really is a beautiful little button.
