Perfection.  These 1820's-era, one-piece militia buttons are some of the most beautiful and (surprisingly) affordable buttons a collector can invest it.  And yes, sometimes they are found in Civil War camps...being used decades after their original manufacture.

This particular non-dug button is a federal artillery coat button.  As you can see in the scan, it is a work of art.  Beautiful die work, exceptional gilting and no damage whatsoever.  The backmark, "Standard Colour Treble Gilt" is quite crisp and easily discerned. The shank is perfectly straight. There are many varieties of these one-piece Artillery buttons from this period of American history.  I think one could collect just those and have quite an enviable display after awhile.

Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always.  I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly.  Again, my email address is cwartifax@gmail.com

Thanks!
