This one's just a beauty and worthy of a place in the best collection. It was metal-detected on private property in Falmouth, Virginia. Falmouth is just across the river from the Fredericksburg battlefield. This was, of course, recovered with permission.

There's no "wave", no damage but for the smallest amount of rust on the back. That is undoubtedly due to the iron screw (now missing) that affixed the boss to the bit. The bottom screw still remains...something you seldom see!
