From my own collection, this seldom-encountered cover was sent from the famed Springfield Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts. Further enhancing this piece is a clear Springfield postmark. While not a terribly expensive item, this is one that you rare come across. It would display wonderfully with your Springfield rifle musket!
