Not much to say about this little relic. It's simply a finial off what was most certainly a Union cartridge box. I have no record of where this was dug. Basically, this is the kind of item you might wish to display with a few bullets, an eagle button and maybe a small piece of shrapnel -- as typical and representative items of what relic hunters often find during their metal-detecting adventures.
