Friends, I nearly overlooked this one as I was considered patriotic envelopes to add to my collection/inventory. Why? No color. And I do like vibrantly colorful covers. But I checked it out in the Weiss catalog and found that it has a rarity of "C". And personally, after collecting these crazy things for decades, I'd call it rarity "D". I have not seen it before.

This specimen is absolutely original and not a reprint. It is unused and in perfect condition for something 150 years old. I didn't photograph the back because it is blank, aside from some extremely light pencil notations which can be erased. These are not considered a flaw according to advanced collectors. I can snap a shot of the back, if you need to see it. Just let me know. The back flap is perfect. There are no tears, stains, rips, folds or repairs to this scarce bit of Union propaganda.
