This is a really attractive button. It has no pinholes, cracks, or repairs. The shank is bent, though not flat against the back. There are no pushes to the face. I would also say there are no pushes to the back...but it does feel ever so slightly concave. I only mention it because I want my customers to know everything about the relic they purchase. This is almost imperceptible and I do not consider this a detriment to the button.

A very small portion of the rim is chipped. The entire rim is present but about 1 cm or less has a chip in it. This is not noticeable from the front or really from the side. And viewing the button from the back, I need a loupe to see this minor flaw.

The back mark is faint but it can be read with a loupe. And it's a Civil War "Extra Quality" marking.

Really, there's not a thing wrong with this button...especially at this low price. I don't have any information about where this one was recovered. But if you like dug state seals, this one's a winner!
