I can't quite make out the date, but I am pretty sure it's 1818. You might be able to see it with greater magnification and better eyes. This is a large cent with a beautiful deep woodsy-green patina. This big penny was excavated in one of "Beast" Butler's camps along the James River. Bermuda Hundred, to be specific. It was dug from private property and with the permission of the property owner.

The coin is lovely as-is, but you could add just a bit of light dirt for definition around the high points.
