This Henry is entirely intact and not a reconstruction. It is dented on one side but there are no cracks or holes. The bullet itself has a nice, waxy patina and the metallic hull has acquired a deep, woodsy-green look. There is no "H" stamping on the base that I can discern, but this is not problematic as both blank and H-base Henrys are found at Civil War sites.

The digger has very neatly written on the cartridge that this was recovered from Wilson's Cavalry camp in Petersburg, Virginia. This site was on private property.

If you prefer a flawless dug Henry with no dents, I have one of those for sale as well. I think, though, that there is probably a buyer for this one, too. It has such a nice relic "look"!
