This little "A" button bears the " D. Evans * EXTRA* " backmark, making it just post-Civil War. It was worn by an artilleryman. Condition is outstanding with just a tinge of dirt on the back that would clean up nicely.

This non-dug button has a straight shank and a very legible backmark. Best of all, it retains 99% of its original gilting.
