Each of these was recovered from private property in/or around Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. One is a standard .58 caliber three ringer and the other, a .54 caliber example. The differing patinas indicate recovery in very different parts of the area. I presume the darker bullet came from soggier soil.
The digger has noted the type of bullet on each one with a small marker-notation. This is not uncommon and not a detracting factor.
