This non-excavated button has the most perfect, untouched patina! It's the Connecticut state seal and would have been worn by a soldier representing the Nutmeg State in the war. The backmark tells us it's a Scovill product and was manufactured sometime between 1851 and the very early 1860's. The button is strong as can be with crisp definition, very little wear and a straight shank. I don't expect this beauty to last very long.

IF YOU WANT TO ORDER AN ITEM…

(or just ask a question about it) please email me directly at cwartifax@gmail.com

Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always.  I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly.  Again, my email address is cwartifax@gmail.com

Thanks
