A tad scarcer than the ubiquitous .58 caliber Yankee minie, this one is in splendid condition. One side has a bit more dirt clinging to it than the other. (I don't like to overclean anything!) And the skirt/base is perfectly round. The bullet was excavated somewhere in Northern Virginia but I haven't any other information.

 

Sometimes this bullet gets overlooked. You almost certainly have a .58 cal in your collection. What about a .54? If not, here you go!
