Admittedly, I have seen some dug buttons with so much gilt they look non-dug. But as buttons that have just that "dug look" collectors love are concerned, this is about the best ever. It's an Artillery cuff button with about 90% gilt, a perfectly straight shank and an 1850's-1865 "Evans" backmark. This particular mark by Evans was exclusively used on cuff/vest buttons. This particular example has no pushes, cracks, pinholes or problems of any kind. You just can't go wrong if you get this button!
