Loads of gilt, a straight shank and nothing negative to say about this one. It's a beaut! It's a New York cuff and it was dug on private property in Dranesville, Virginia. I suppose it was lost there by a NY soldier or officer who was camped on or marching through the area. I know that no New York troops were involved in the Battle of Dranesville...every federal soldier in that late 1861 fight was from Pennsylvania. But the ground was tramped over dozens of times during the war. So undoubtedly, men from the Empire State made their way through.

A great little button that would be in my collection if I didn't already have one about this nice!

IF YOU WANT TO ORDER AN ITEM…

(or just ask a question about it) please email me directly at cwartifax@gmail.com

Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always.  I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly.  Again, my email address is cwartifax@gmail.com

Thanks!
