This might look familiar to folks who visited cwartifax.com years ago. It's an early (late 40's or early 50's) Virginia Militia button recovered in the Old Dominion many, many years ago. I had this listed for a while and, either because of an error on my part or some sort of computer glitch, the listing for it was lost. I didn't notice and there she sat in the safe! I found the button a few weeks ago and determined to offer it again. It's a 22-23 mm, very low convex button with a Horstmann RMDC backmark.

The condition is quite good. Yes, there is ground action. But it doesn't inhibit the character or the lettering. In fact, that beautiful gilt highlights all that nicely. The back is sound and solid and the shank is straight. There are no cracks, bends, pushes or repairs. I don't know where in Virginia the button was dug but I bought it in the late 90's if that tells you anything.

I really think you will enjoy this one!

Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always.  I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly.  Again, my email address is cwartifax@gmail.com

Thanks!
