Almost-Perfect Excavated Eagle Plate

This gem of a plate was metal-detected somewhere in Virginia, but I haven't any more information. Just look at that gorgeous chocolate brown, the full lead, both rusty hooks standing upright and that brilliant, striking eagle! I've a mind to keep this one, but Mrs. CWartifax says 12 is more than enough. (She just doesn't get it! Ha!) If there is any flaw its the smallest of minor bends on the rim of the plate, barely affecting anything. It sure looks a heap better after 120+ years in the ground than I will. Guaranteed! In fact, you have my permission to dig me up and check!
