A good, non-dug example of a finely-crafted Infantry button manufactured probably in 1866 or 67...but definitely not during the Civil War. This one would be proper in an Indian War collection or a general militaria display. It's really sharp-looking. I am particularly fond of the stippled shield on these well-made buttons. If you collect Indian War artifacts, this would be a good one to snap up!
