The verbal history with this one is that it came out of a Confederate Cavalry camp in Brandy Station, Virginia. It was found with permission, on privately owned property. The condition is just FLAWLESS and there's even a crisp seam still visible. The one pictured is the one you'll get...but if you want four more like this, I bought a group of five from the same camp -- all in this kind of condition.

 

The .52 caliber ringtail was used, I believe, by both sides during the Civil War. Brandy Station, as you probably know, was the scene of the largest cavalry battle ever to take place on North American soil.
